The Abrupt Rise of the Rocky Mountain Front
This butte is called Haystack Butte. You actually get a better view of it along the Southern Rocky Front Backcountry Drive, but the view of it from the Sun River Loop Backcountry Drive isn't too shabby either. This photo looks toward the southeast. The vast sweep of the prairie extends seemingly forever.
