Downstream From Holter Dam
This photo was taken where "all the fun" begins on the Missouri River for most anglers - the Wolf Creek Bridge Fishing Access Site. On a normal day during the spring and summer, fishing boats ply the river in large numbers downstream from the bridge.
The Missouri River, though, is used for more than fishing. During the summer months, large float parties throw "whatever floats" into the river and take a lazy float downstream, taking out at one of the many take-out spots along the river.
