The photo was taken at the Wild Goose Island Overlook. From this overlook, you get a superb view of St. Mary Lake, the Continental Divide and the many mountains that ring the lake. On this particular day I was fortunate enough to arrive when the wind was calm - a rare thing on eastern side of Glacier National Park. Heavy Runner Mountain is the mountain at the head of the lake while Citadel Mountain is the peak in the left of the photograph.
