This is another photograph of Lake McDonald as
seen from the Trout Lake Trail.
There aren't too many viewing points of the lake on the trail, since
the Trout Lake Trail passes through moderately thick forests - although
much of the undergrowth was burned during the 2003 Robert Fire. It should
also be noted that the forests you see on the front side of the lake
that run down the ridge (named "Howe Ridge"), were completely
burned over, trees and all. As such, the view you get from this point
(which is an avalanche corridor), will be quite a bit different today.
