The Yaak River in Northwest Montana, near the Idaho border, flows through heavily forested countryside. Access to the river is decent, although to reach the river often means slogging through the woods to reach it from the road. There are a number of nice, scenic vistas of the Yaak River and the Yaak region of Montana from the Yaak River Scenic Drive.
