West Butte in the Sweet Grass Hills of Montana
This is West Butte, which has a less than impressive elevation of 6983 feet. Despite the relatively low elevation, though, West Butte can be seen from staggering distances away due to the low prairie all around it. As can be seen in the photo, a few trees manage to grow on the protected southern flanks of the butte, too.
