The Southern Rocky Mountain Front Backcountry Drive is a beautiful 28-mile drive that parallels the Rocky Mountain Front between Augusta and Highway 200.through the prairie of Central Montana, along the Rocky Mountain Front. While the drive passes through the prairie for its entire length, the drive also provides stunning views of some of the higher peaks of the Rocky Mountain Front. Additionally, this route provides a much more scenic alternative to those venturing between Interstate 15/Highway 200 and Augusta.
