Camping Books

If you're new to camping, it is often difficult to know what gear to get. While nothing takes the place of experience (and I've had a few memorable and forgettable experiences), a book or two can always help you select the right gear and provide some hints that will make camping more fun and enjoyable. Plus, some of these books are just "plain fun" to read, even if you don't remember one thing.

The various books about camp cooking are especially helpful. After all, who wants to eat canned tomato soup while camping in the great outdoors?
