North Face Sleeping Bags

The Sleeping Bag I have, the "Cat's Meow" from The North Face

Products from the North Face are, in my own opinion, the best you'll find in the world of outdoor gear. And the sleeping bags from The North Face are no exception to this. I've owned a North Face sleeping bag - the Cat's Meow - for over 5 years now. And I've used it a LOT. Despite the use, the sleeping bag continues to live on without showing signs of wear and tear.

In essence, if you take care of a North Face sleeping bag, barring some unforeseen event the bag has every potential to last you decades. While sleeping bags from the North Face are indeed more expensive than many others, they are hardly unaffordable. A good quality 3-season synthetic bag will generally run between $150 - $200. A 3-season goose down bag will average between $200 - $300. All in all, pretty affordable for a top-quality sleeping bag.

North Face 3-Season Synthetic Sleeping Bags

The choice is yours, but, all things being equal, I would choose a synthetic sleeping bag over a goose down bag. The reason? The bags cost less, can safely get wet and in general are easier to take care of.
