I love synthetic sleeping bags. The reason? Simple. Synthetic sleeping
bags tend to be less expensive than their goose down counterparts. Plus,
for someone who engages in overnight float trips like myself, the ability
of synthetic sleeping bags to dry out quickly and naturally is a massive
benefit.
Synthetic sleeping bags are ideal for use in conditions where you are
worried about the bag getting wet. Unlike down bags, when a synthetic
bag gets wet, the bag doesn't lose all insulating abilities. And, unlike
most down bags, you can dry out a synthetic bag just by throwing it in
a dryer (and even sleeping in it!). Additionally, synthetic bags tend
