Rolling Hills of the John Long Mountains in Montana

This photo was taken from the low pass on Highway 348, located not to far from Philipsburg, Montana. The picture shows what the lower peaks of the John Long Mountains tend to look like - open grasslands on the sides and scattered forests along the peaks. The taller peaks of the John Long Mountains are just to the north of the Philipsburg Valley Scenic Loop.
