Montana Information & Travel.gif)
Montana is a heavily
visited state by tourists. While I haven't got exact figures,
anyone who lives here can vouch for the fact that during
the summer Montana becomes a very popular place. But, as
soon as the weather turns colder, most people from out-state
virtually disappear - giving the place back to us locals.
Why This Travel Guide to Montana Was Created
There are plenty
of places on the Internet where you can get information
about travel in Montana. Unfortunately, most of the sites
say the same old thing - and are frequently just copied
from one site to another. At least to me, most Montana
travel sites, especially those that deal with individual
cities in the state, just aren't really helpful.

So, I created
this section of bigskyfishing, to give our visitors an
idea of what the primary "cities" in Montana are like.
This travel guide section is really less a true "travel
guide" than my own personal opinions and experiences
about each city, with helpful information thrown
in about what people new to these cities should expect
to see and encounter.
Additionally, all the photos of each
city have been
taken
by myself,
and are not the
generic,
overused travel photos commonly seen on other travel web
pages (before you think about swiping our photos for your
own use, read
our

Guidelines policy!).
Other Helpful Montana Related Information
In addition
to creating this Montana travel section, I've also put
together some helpful information for anyone who
wants more information about the state, such as websites
of Montana TV stations,
Montana newspapers, Montana government information and some
other things that visitors,
whether
you plan on fishing or not, should find helpful.
