South Fork Judith River in the Canyon
The South Fork Judith River closely follows the road in the canyon section of the Judith River Backcountry Drive. In some places along this stretch, the canyon becomes very narrow - less than fifty feet wide, with rock outcroppings and hills rising steeply on both sides of the road. The small meadows and open areas in this canyon make for superb primitive camping spots.
