AIRE Inflatable Boat Repair Kit

Product Details

This repair kit gives you what you need to make field repairs on your AIRE inflatable raft, cataraft or IK. All you need for fixing punctures, tears, zipper problems and other repair issues when you're out with your AIRE boat. This kit does not contain a flammable adhesive. Included is a roll of Type A Tear-Aid Repair Tape. Use it to patch any holes in the inner urethane bladder. Unless it's a large tear this can be a permanent repair. For tears in the outer PVC skin, there's needle and thread for stitching the sides together. When you get home you can either glue on an inner patch, or send it to AIRE for a welded repair. Includes other repair essentials, listed in the Specs tab. All these items are contained in a 5L water-resistant dry bag, with a fold-down closure and clear window for easily spotting the item you need.

Whitewater Rafts & Gear Checklist

Sure You Need It? : Read the Whitewater Raft Guide to make doubly sure you need such a large and expensive boat. Often, a smaller inflatable kayak or inflatable raft will meet your needs.
Don't Overdo It : It IS tempting to get a boat larger than you think you'll need "just to be safe." However, smaller and lighter rafts are more maneuverable.
Don't Forget the Pump! Unless you want to spend hours inflating the raft manually, save your lungs by getting a raft pump.
Don't forget rope and tie-downs. You need something to lash dry bags down to your raft. And keep it lashed at ALL times!! Visit the Raft Accessory page to find stuff you might need.
Keep Your Gear Dry! Be sure to absolutely, positively get a dry bag. Otherwise, you'll have the fun of trying to dry out your gear over a campfire or buying a new iPod or cell phone. Visit the Dry Bags section to find various bags that meet your needs..
