Sawyer Cobra Oarlocks

Product Details

This is the oar lock you've been waiting for. The cobra's wide horns have greater load area for much less stress on the oar-lock horns and increased durability. The elongated, oval opening allows for an additional 10-15 degrees of vertical range while keeping your oars snug in the locks. Made of a specially formulated bronze alloy for superior strength and proven by professionals throughout the world. Deluxe models are threaded with a lock-nut keeper to reduce play. Oars with rope wraps or oar sleeves can sometimes fit snugly in oarlocks. Compare the measurements under the Specs tab to those of your oar shaft to ensure a good fit with these oarlocks.

Oars Checklist

Get the Right Size : Read the Oar Guide to make sure you get the right size paddle. How long of a paddle you get depends on both personal preference and the size of the raft.
Oarlocks or Pin & Clips? : Each of their goods and bads. Read the Guide to Oars for more information if unsure what to get.
Protect Your Oars! Consider getting a oar tip protector. Tip protectors help protect the oar from chips and cracks.
Wood or Fiberglass? Wood paddles look great and work great, too. But they aren't as light as fiberlass. They are also more expensive.
Don't Be Adrift Without a Spare : Even the best of oars can break or simply "get lost" while afloat. As such, be sure to have a spare oar when out floating.

Explore the Fishing in Montana

The Thompson River : A spring-creek like river located in Northwest Montana that has excellent access and little fishing pressure.

Rosebud Creek : Located in the beautiful high prairie just to the north of the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Area, Rosebud Creek offers solid trout fishing in a very scenic location.

The Red Rock River : The Red Rock River is seldom visited, lying as it does in the Centennial Valley, despite having solid fishing for cutthroat trout, grayling and rainbow trout.
