This picture was taken near the beginning of the Iceberg
Lake Trail in Glacier National Park if I remember correctly.
Iceberg Lake sits off way in the distance, near the base of the mountains
in the background
(which are part of the continental divide). A grizzly bear was feasting
away on some stuff about 400 yards up the closest mountain when I took
this photo - but sadly I lacked a zoom lens to get close enough to get
a good picture of it. If you don't like Grizzly Bears, the Iceberg Lake
trail is probably not a trail for you - as the trail provides some of
the "best odds" of seeing a bear while hiking in Glacier National
Park.
