Iceberg Lake itself is somewhat visible in this photograph, as it sort of disappears into the shadows that are thrown by the towering mountains around the lake. This photo does a nice job of illustrating exactly how high and how steep the mountains are that tower above the lake. The size of the mountains also explains why Iceberg Lake is frozen for most of the year - a lack of sun.
