Hiking Books about Glacier National Park

In 1967, a lightning strike caused a significant fire over part of the terrain that the Highline Trail passes through. This fire burnt over a good portion of the Garden Wall along the Continental Divide. When hiking along the Highline Trail, you can still see trees that were killed during this fire - despite having happened more than 35 years ago.
