DAKINE Apex 26L Hydration Pack - 1600cu in

Product Details

From singletrack to downhill, the Dakine Apex 26L Hydration Pack is the ultimate mountain biking companion. It comes with a three-liter Shape Loc hydration reservoir to keep you going all day, with a shoulder-strap port and a Plug-N-Play disconnect system for easy removal and filling. Riding can be a sweaty business, but the Air Channel back-panel ventilation keeps cool air moving, and the removable waist belt keeps your gear from bouncing around and throwing off your balance. Dakine hooked the Apex up with a helmet-carrying system that can hold full-face or trail helmets with equal ease, and itincluded a fleece-lined sunglasses and goggle pocket to keep your lenses from getting scratched when you're not wearing them. Internal organization pockets keep your spare tubes, pump, trail maps, and more in order so you don't have to tear apart your whole pack to find what you need.

Hydration Packs Checklist

How Much Pack Capacity? Hydration packs come in all sorts of sizes. Check to packs capacity (not just the water capacity), to see it meeds your needs.
How Much Water Capacity? Better to have a "bit too much" water capacity instead of "not quite enough." Remember, these aren't canteens. "Unused" space in the water reservoir lays flat and weighs little.
Planning on Doing Lots of Day Hiking? If so, you might be better off buying a dedicated technical day pack. Most new ones are now "hydration compatible", allowing you to buy a hydration reservoir and carry it seamlessly inside the pack.
