Swix Starlit Jacket - Women's

Product Details

Every Nordic skier knows the importance of balance; lean too far in any direction and you'll end up in the snow while the race passes you by. Balance is just as important in your clothing too, so Swix designed the Starlit Women's Jacket with the perfect blend of wind resistance, lightness, and mobility to help you get in long skates, short classic sessions, and chilly winter running intervals without freezing or getting too sweaty. The outer fabric of the Starlit is made from polyester and treated with a DWR coating to repel light rain and snow, and Swix decked it out with strategically located stretch panels for easy movement. The front lining of the jacket is windroof, and the rest is made from a moisture-wicking mesh to help you stay comfortable. Getting hot happens when you're skiing hard, so the Starlit has been decked out with laser-cut underarm perforations to increase ventilation, and finished with long elastic cuffs to prevent the breeze from blowing up your sleeves and sucking away your precious heat.

Fleece Jacket Checklist

Say "No" to Cotton: If you take cotton in the Montana backcountry...you'll be sorry sooner or later.
Pull-Over or Zip-Up? Both are popular and widely available. Make sure you get the right style for your own needs.
Snug Around the Neck? Some people like it...other's don't. But snugness helps keep the cold from seeping in. So it's a feature worth examining.
Pockets? Some fleece has tons of pockets, others none whatsoever. So check the specs before plunking down any money.
