Merrell Windswept Jacket - Women's

Product Details

When the wind's swirling through the downtown alleyways and the rain is blowing sideways, the Merrell Windswept Women's Jacket is a godsend. Merrell's known for its all-weather footwear, but the Windswept's M Select XDRY waterproof and breathable membrane, DWR finish, and fully taped seams keep your body as dry as your feet, without causing you to feel clammy or uncomfortable. The Windswept reaches down to the knees, so windblown rain won't be able to sneak up into your cozy cocoon, and has a fixed hood that keeps your hair dry and head warm when the weather's at its worst. Drawcords at the hem and waist increase weather resistance and give the Windswept a tailored look, while the ribbed cuffs and collar trap heat and feel soft against your skin. As a final travel-friendly detail, Merrell included six pockets--two flap hand, two zip hand, and two secure internal--for phones, passports, and important travel documents.

Fleece Jacket Checklist

Say "No" to Cotton: If you take cotton in the Montana backcountry...you'll be sorry sooner or later.
Pull-Over or Zip-Up? Both are popular and widely available. Make sure you get the right style for your own needs.
Snug Around the Neck? Some people like it...other's don't. But snugness helps keep the cold from seeping in. So it's a feature worth examining.
Pockets? Some fleece has tons of pockets, others none whatsoever. So check the specs before plunking down any money.
