Patagonia Torrentshell Insulated Jacket - Men's

Product Details

Sometimes Mother Nature can be downright rude with bone-numbing, sideways rain. When the weather offends your civilized inclinations, put on the Patagonia Men's Torrentshell Insulated Jacket for robust yet refined protection. For additional warmth and brutish water resistance, this jacket uses a mix of fresh and recycled materials, reducing your carbon footprint without increasing your water-logged footprints. Whether you're caught in a cold spring shower or stuck standing in nosebleed seats during a rain-soaked Saturday football game, the Insulated Torrentshell will keep you warm and dry through the end of the game. Patagonia's proprietary waterproof and breathable H2No Performance Standard shell, finished with Deluge DWR, helps water bead on the jacket surface, rather than flatten out and sneak inside. The lining, made from 100% recycled polyester, also sports the Deluge DWR finish for additional protection against water breaching the the jacket. PrimaLoft Eco insulation contains 70% recycled materials and offers moderate warmth without weight. If you're dressing to attend your kid's November soccer game, the jacket's regular fit leaves you plenty of layering room, so don't leave that fleece behind. The helmet-compatible hood has a laminated visor, helping to funnel rain away from your eyes and face so compromising weather conditions don't compromise your vision. On the inside, a quilted pattern holds the PrimaLoft Eco insulation in place, giving you full-body warmth throughout the life of the jacket. Hook-and-loop cuff closures and adjustable drawcord hem give you the ability to batten down the hatches and seal out the elements until you reach shelter.

Snug Around the Neck? Some people like it...other's don't. But snugness helps keep the cold from seeping in. So it's a feature worth examining.
Pockets? Some fleece has tons of pockets, others none whatsoever. So check the specs before plunking down any money.
