| This is one of the more recent casualties of the shifting changes that are occurring in the agricultural industry today. While the Hi-Line area of Montana is full of very old homesteads, built in the 1920's, and now sit abandoned - you don't see that many newer farms that sit abandoned like this. Which is why this one sort of caught my eye. Also, I don't mean to pick on Inverness, Montana - showing all the old and abandoned buildings may make the town seem like a ghost town, which it isn't. Inverness is no different than many other Hi-Line towns that have had to battle population loss and the changes in agriculture. It's just that in Inverness these changes seemed to be more noticeable than in other towns. |
