Shearling Coats Checklist

Don't Destroy It. Shearling coats require a bit more tender loving care than your ski parka. Because of this, be sure to read the Shearling Jacket & Coat Care Guide to insure the longetivity of your coat.
High Heat = #1 Way to Destroy the Coat. The most frequent cause of an early death of a fine sheepskin coat is being exposed to high heat sources. To dry a wet coat, let it air dry naturally. Do not put in front of a heater, toss in the dryer, etc..
Mud and Fur Is a Lousy Mix. Shearling is an ideal fabric for apparel as it's so soft and warm. Having exposed fur is even better. However, if you plan to on playing in the mud or simply love to get dirty, then the types of coats with exposed fur might not be for you due to the difficulty of cleaning. Consider a more traditional leather jacket instead.
