Gaining Elevation on the Gravelly Range Road in Montana
As the road gains elevation, the first trees begin to show themselves. But like much of the drive, the forests are "thin and scattered." These scattered forests, separated by large, meadow areas, are one of the highlights of this backcountry excursion in Montana.
