I appreciate that! With those premium bullets at that speed you should be safe from just about anything. A couple of friends and I are "splitting" a buffalo this winter. You pretty much purchase one to shoot on a ranch, we're doing it for the meat but I get to do the shooting Pretty sure I'll be using my 45-70...

Which ranch? We did that a few years ago. We picked up two buffalo at a isolated ranch in the vicinity of Winnet. $800 bucks a piece for each buffalo...beat beef anyday of the week.

It's south of Three Forks, can't recall where Winnet is at the moment. I'm near Helena so it's an easy trip.

Yup, I think I'm almost addicted to buffalo... Good eatin. We purchased a 1-1/2 year old so it should be prime.

I think I'll be picking up some of those Barnes to play with soon.... Too tempted now!
