We have a lot of national forest, BLM, state land, and there are quite a few farmers who will let you hunt their land also. There is a lot of public land.
This is probably the best state in the country for hunting When you get here you will want to get yourself some good BLM maps, topo maps, and I recomend a Montana Gazeteer also. Whether you are a big game, varmint, or bird hunter we have it all right here ; elk, whitetail deer, mule deer, moose, antelope, upland bird, waterfowl............it's all here!

Thats awesome news, I am more of a fisherman but would love to try some hunting other than whitetail that we have in MN and Eastern ND. My Father and Brother are already hitting me up to hook them up on some trips for mulies or elk. :-) I am looking forward to it. Thanks!
