Just got back from 5 days at Hell Creek State Park on Fort Peck. Had a great trip. Caught walleye, sauger, pike, smallmouth bass, and of course... perch. Fished both east and west of Hell Creek bay on the North and south shores. Best depths were 10-22 feet when bottom bouncing with leaches and crawlers and 6-12 feet when pitching cranks or jigs along weed beds. Best colors are hot perch, fire tiger, baby bass, and natural perch. Weather was great for us but the temperature was a little warm with 3 days between 95 and 105 while we were there. Went through 2 cases of water for 2 people in 4 days. It was too hot to drink beer for fear of dehydration. Clint and Deb at the marina were great as always. There were open spots in the campground every day and lots of spots after the post 4th of July weekend. Can't wait to go back again! On our last day of fishing we finished our possession limit with 3 fish for 8 pounds total while pitching cranks along the weeds.
