Default Bird shooting for a Brit?

Hi All,
In order to make the most of our license we were going to do some bird hunting courtesy of a forum member, but due to unforseen circumstances he has sadly had to withdraw his offer.
We cant bring over shotguns as well as rifles so i have had a look at the laws in Montana, i cant find anything that states we couldnt buy a shotgun as a non US resident whilst over here.
It is a very desperate measure but if we could pick up a very cheap gun and hopefully 'bump' into some birds whilst out walking it would make our day.
Cheers
Richard

no need to buy a gun if you don't mind shooting 1 i could lend to you.
i have a few to choose from in .410,28,20, and 12 gauge. in pump over under and even an old LC SMITH side by side if thats what you like
most are pretty well used but all work just fine so if you miss a bird its not the gun
