Default New to Montana

Hey guys !
So I'm new to Montana, and I've only heard great things about Montana fishing so I was super excited to get here and spend my summer out on the water.

But now that I'm here, I have no idea where to go. Everything seems to be private land.

I'm living in Roundup, so if any of you guys know of any spots I could go to that would be awesome ! There's no way I can pass up fishing while I'm here for the summer.

Thanks !
-Michele

Boat or bank? Trout or real fish?
The Yellowstone for all the above.
Big horn Reserver,excellent.
Patrolea and Blood reservoirs out of Winnet, Walleye, bass
A little further North and you run in to the Missouri and Fort Peck, The best of all !!!!
PS Welcome.

Thanks !
I'm fishing from the bank, I've got my fly rod and spin rod up here. I hit up Fort Peck a couple weeks ago and fished that for a day. SO many trout there, and a couple bites but most of them didn't seem interested. I guess I've just gotta figure out what they like.

I was fishing out in Red Lodge this previous weekend and got a couple trout but nothing huge. But a day of fishing is better than a day of anything else !
