Remember the Coyote I caught this past winter?
Well I froze it whole to mount.Today I skinned it out and boy what I found.
He had 6 pellets , looked like lead T shot in his hind legs. ( It had been there a while).
When I got him I noticed he had a scab on his forehead. Turns out it was a hole in his scull that was healing from what looked to be a glancing hit from a rifle.There was a hole in the skin between the eyes and the front of his scull was cracked but he was still going strong
Talk about tuff.

They are tuff. I have seen pictures of coyotes people have killed that where missing legs,feet.most of there jaw and still running with the pack... The will to live I guess, AND they don't even have Obomacare !!!

I killed a coyote once that was missing both front feet and one rear foot, probably to traps I would guess. Either that or frozen. He was a big old guy too. Either way he was one tough old dog and probably not as smart as he should have been if he lost three feet to traps.
