Default Headed out striper fishing

Anglernet's Fall Fiasco starts today in the Delta and we've got 6 group sites reserved and appx 70 folks showing up for potlucks, raffles, a washers tournament, and kids trick or treating from camp to camp.
Striper & sturgeon (both great eating) are looking good and the weatherman has cooperated very nicely. I should be back monday evening with some pics.

Good luck guys and not to worry as the Party will out weigh any fish unless there is a Record Broke.LOL Stryker

Edit, Well Damit! I had 3-4 Striper Pics that my buddy got down there and then added a brown that he caught out back. Seems only one Striper pic took so i added a real Brown trout pic from My Old Buddy Allen Cole. Old Sap made a stick lure called an AC plug. LMFAO!!!!! Stryker

Ps, Looks like the striper pic is way big sorry. Do that all around thingy.HAHAHAHA

There stick baits. Do a search on AC Plugs or Allen Cole. I'm not gonna link his sites here.

There like Repalas but some say better. Lots of drama comes with stick bait talks.

But I can tell they catch big fish. Do a search on sripers and the plug. Some hogs for sure.

Ric should be packing up about now. PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HEHEHEHE Stryker

Default Tired, sore, & my head hurts

Short story, no fish. No big fish anyways. Lots of juvenile males just hanging out waiting for the big girls to arrive. While there had been fish caught just two weeks earlier, up to 18lbs, last weekend had them scattered or gone. We had 40-50 anglers covering most parts of the delta & it's side sloughs but none turned up anything with size.
Great time was had in camp with bbq'd chicken, tri-tip & every kind of side dish imaginable. A fun raffle where everyone wins a prize along with a few grand prizes and a 50/50 raffle record that sent someone home with the most cash ever awarded.
Here's some pics of the fun & festivities.

We fished bait under anchor. Lack of reports had us reluctant to troll so we stayed with what we started with. Threadfin shad & sardine. Sardine got ya bit constantly while the shad were inhaled kamikazee style followed by a line strip that had ya thinkin 10lber at hookset. Damn sex starved juveniles.
It will improve with each weather event and as soon as the clarity improves, so does the fishing. These fish are staging for spring run and will stay in the middle & lower delta until then. The sturgeon was a bonus catch. They are best when the weather & water are at it's nastiest.
More pics.
