Hydration Packs

A hydration pack is a pack that comes pre-assembled, so to speak, with
a hydration system built into it. Truth be told, I'm not especially wild
about some of these packs as these packs themselves don't entirely fit
my ideal of what a true "day pack" should be. Many of these
hydration packs lack the crucial internal frame/framesheet and pack adjustments
that I prefer to see in a day pack that will be used for extensive backcountry
travel. Instead, I personally prefer to get a seperate hydration
system and integrate it into a technical
daypack.
That said, I know full well that many people would prefer to look at
getting a pack that is "all in one", if only for ease of use
and convenience. Getting an "all in one" system is also a bit cheaper
on the pocketbook, too. And so, some quality hydration packs from North
Face, CamelBak and others are listed on this page.
Featured Hydration Packs
Listed below are some quality hydration packs that well work well
for day hiking, both here in Montana and elsewhere. These
are larger sized hydration packs - and all hold a minimum of 2 quarts
of water, some much more than that. If you would like a smaller hydration
pack (such as for biking or trail runniing), you can also browse a selection
of Small
Hydration Packs too.
All the hydration packs
shown below are available through Backcountry.Com.
