NAU Modus Trench Rain Jacket - Men's

Product Details

If your M. O. is to ride your bike to work no matter the weather, odds are you're a pretty eco-friendly cat, and they're even better that you'll dig the Nau Modus Men's Trench Rain Jacket, which is made of 100% recycled polyester using a process that consumes 80% less energy and produces 80% less carbon dioxide than the traditional, raw-petroleum process. The Modus incorporates a waterproof laminate, DWR coating, and fully-taped seams to ensure that it's as waterproof as they come, and has a snapped center back vent to make sure you don't get sweaty when you're late to work and pedaling like a maniac. You can zip off the hood if the weather's not looking particularly forbidding, or snap it into the collar to create a rugged barrier if the heavens really open up. Designed especially with biking in mind, the rear hem dips down to cover more of your butt, and the storm flap over the front zipper keeps the wet out even when you're flying through the rain at eye-watering speeds.

Fleece Jacket Checklist

Say "No" to Cotton: If you take cotton in the Montana backcountry...you'll be sorry sooner or later.
Pull-Over or Zip-Up? Both are popular and widely available. Make sure you get the right style for your own needs.
Snug Around the Neck? Some people like it...other's don't. But snugness helps keep the cold from seeping in. So it's a feature worth examining.
Pockets? Some fleece has tons of pockets, others none whatsoever. So check the specs before plunking down any money.
