Very nice composition Rockman!! How much time did you spend on setting this up or was it spur of the moment?

We left the wedding rehearsal and after a couple of turns in the road we were looking right at the moon. Stopped along side of road to take the picture.

What power was the zoom lens you used? Every time I've tried a "moon shot" it's failed abysmally...ends up being a tiny blob.

I use a Canon XSi Digital Single Lens Reflex camera with the 18-200mm Image Stabilized lens most of the time. For moon shots my experience has been the greater mm the better. This was probably taken at 200mm. Try 400 or higher for those shots where the moon is the dominant feature in the sky! Sounds like you are ready for a new camera and this is a good excuse...to me anyway, but then I always get caught!
