Wulfenite occurs at numerous sites in AZ. This single crystal (1.0 X .75 inches) with the red center was personally collected from the 79 Mine in the early 1970s. Many famous wulfenites are commonly found from old mines down Yuma way in the Chocolate Mountains(Red Cloud and Geronimo). They are bright red and have a more complex crystal formation. I guess you could say they are all heart! |
