I caught this view too. Funny thing is, it's the sun - not the moon!



Something about the new camera they are using at St. Mary shields out the bright light, allowing some of the image to still come through. Combine that with the eerie look from the blowing snow and you have this pretty unique web cam image from St. Mary Lake.

You may be right!



But here's the thing...I actually saw this photo more or less when checking the cam at about 2pm in the afternoon. Reason I noticed it when Jan posted it...looked almost identical to the one I saw in mid-afternoon with the sun blazing away directly into the camera.



Wonder if they were having camera difficulties that day and I was too stupid to see it?
