Cabelas 5-Weight Wading Jacket

Product Details

Like a 5-weight fly rod, this wading jacket has the versatility to excel in a wide range of fishing conditions. It utilizes three layers of waterproof, breathable Dry-Plus membrane and is seam-sealed to keep you fishing in everything from a shower to a thunderstorm. Articulated sleeves and a durable stretch shell allow total range of motion for casting. Stretch cuffs with hook-and-loop adjustments prevent water from entering the sleeves. Cavernous chest pockets store fly boxes and have fleece handwarmer pockets underneath. Interior zippered security pocket and mesh utility pocket. Full zip front, exterior draft flap and interlocking interior draft flaps with chin guard seal out wind and rain. Fleece-backed collar. Hood with brim and adjustable peripheral drawcord. D-ring clip points under flaps of chest pockets for tool attachment. D-ring clip at center of back for a net. Imported. Sizes: S-3XL. Color: Smoke.

Price : $ 149.99

Wading Jacket Checklist

Warm Enough? If you can only afford one jacket, buy one that is warm enough to meet the coldest weather fishing that you do.
Enough Pockets & Attachment Points? Like a fly fishing vest, a wading jacket should have a good supply of pockets and places to attach your other gear.
Waterproof? Virtually all wading jackets are, but some are only "water resistant," which is basically useless in the rain. Thus, get a jacket that is waterproof with either Dry-Plus or Gore-Tex. Both these fabrics, besides being waterproof, are also breathable.
Lose the Rubber Rain Jacket. Rubber doesn't allow your body's perspiration to escape...thus essentially making you wet (and cold) as the minutes turn to hours. Rubber (and other fabrics that do not breathe) rain jackets are uncomfortable and useless.
