Millet Baikal 1100 Long Sleeping Bag: 32 Degree Synthetic

Product Details

Sleep easy on your backpacking trips with the Millet Baikal 1100 Long 32-Degree Synthetic Sleeping Bag. The 32 degree temperature rating makes this bag ideal for spring climbing trips to the desert and mid-summer backpacking trips in the high country. Millet's Supermix insulation is a hollow core synthetic material treated with a water-resistant coating to provide both thermal efficiency and wet weather performance. Additional insulation at the top of the bag increases the thermal efficiency of the bag, while less insulation at the bottom saves on weight. The bag itself is fitted with a draft tube behind the two-way, full-length zipper, and it has a drawcord adjustable hood to lock in the warmth when the mercury drops.

Three Season Sleeping Bags Checklist

Down vs. Synthetic. The age-old question. Down bags pack down tighter and are a few ounces lighter. On the negative side, they are useless when wet, often take forever to dry (and many can't be tossed into a dryer), and tend to be more expensive.
Heading Out in Wet Weather? Then get a synthetic sleeping bag...period. This way, if your bag gets wet, you won't have a useless sleeping bag for the rest of your trip.
Float Camping? Again...get a synthetic bag. Be a bummer to have your bag end up in the water and become useless for the rest of your float trip.
Where Ounces and Packability Matter. Then go with a goose down bag. This is especially true if you are a bike camper, climber or camp in the desert.
