NEMO Equipment Inc. Nocturne 15 Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Down

Product Details

It doesn't matter if you're camping or backpacking, the Nemo Equipment Inc. Nocturne 15 Degree Down Sleeping Bag works wonderfully in any environment whether it's damp or dry. Nemo stuffed this bag with 700-fill DownTek water repellent down insulation to maintain its high loft and warmth even in moist conditions. The nylon ripstop shell has a DWR coating to resist water, and the Osmo footbox has waterproof, breathable protection to protect the bag from condensation on your tent's wall and floor. The lining consists of a soft and bright nylon taffeta that keeps you nice and cozy for a restful night's sleep. The first thing you might notice about the Nocturne 15 is its interesting shape, which Nemo calls a Spoon shape. This unique design gives you extra space where it matters the most, with widened shoulders, free knees, and unshackled feet for room to sleep in multiple positions throughout the night. It also features a hood with a Blanket Fold at the collar that acts like a draft collar to provide additional warmth on the frigid nights. This bag is a backpacker's dream with its low weight, small compression volume (compression stuff sack included), and its dedication to complete comfort.

Three Season Sleeping Bags Checklist

Down vs. Synthetic. The age-old question. Down bags pack down tighter and are a few ounces lighter. On the negative side, they are useless when wet, often take forever to dry (and many can't be tossed into a dryer), and tend to be more expensive.
Heading Out in Wet Weather? Then get a synthetic sleeping bag...period. This way, if your bag gets wet, you won't have a useless sleeping bag for the rest of your trip.
Float Camping? Again...get a synthetic bag. Be a bummer to have your bag end up in the water and become useless for the rest of your float trip.
Where Ounces and Packability Matter. Then go with a goose down bag. This is especially true if you are a bike camper, climber or camp in the desert.
