Selk'bag USA, Inc. Lite Sleeping Bag: 45 Degree Synthetic
Selk'bags made its Lite Sleeping Bag as light as possible so you can take this one-piece suit with you wherever you roam. Stomp around the beach on chilly days, go backpacking with it and walk into someone's campsite while wearing it just to make them jealous, and definitely take it camping all summer long. The synthetic insulation keeps you nice and toasty all night long, and its unique design allows you to get up and go if a bear comes a-calling at the campsite, instead of being wrapped up like a taco for his convenience. The durable ripstop shell has a water-resistant treatment while the polyester taffeta lining feels plush next to your skin. Quick-release closures at the hands let you grab a drink or play the guitar without a problem, and the nylon soles features lateral anti-slip pads for traction on multiple surfaces. The Lite also features an adjustable hood, draft tubes to block wind, dual front zippers for simple donning, and an included compression sack.

Lightweight Sleeping Bags Checklist
||Sure It's Warm Enough? Lightweight
bags are meant for use in weather between 30-50 degrees. But, remember,
it's always prudent to add on at least 10 degrees to the bags rating.
Thus, a bag rated to 40 degrees might only keep you warm in 50 degree
||Down or Synthetic? Each
have their advantages. Down is less bulky and weighs a few ounces
less. Synthetic costs less (usually) and is easier to dry - you can
just toss it in the dryer.
||Don't Forget the Sleeping Pad! A
sleeping bag is useless without a sleeping
if you don't already have a sleeping pad, get one. For lightweight
sleeping bags (thus used in warm weather), you don't need a super
thick or winter-style one.
||Ideal Uses for a Lightweight Bag. Where
you know...for sure...that the temperature will stay at least 10-15
degrees above the sleeping bags rating. And, where every ounce and
cubic inch of space is at a premium. Lightweight bags are often
used by climbers and bike campers/travelers. For backpacking in the
mountains, a lightweight bag is NOT recommended!
