Kelty Como 6 Tent: 6-Person 3-Season

Product Details

The Kelty Como 6 Tent lets you set up your tent and get comfortable in a flash so you and your family can get to the fun parts of camping quickly. The DAC hybrid poles slide through the continuous sleeves and clips smoothly and attach to the simple adjustable stakeouts for fuss-free setup. In fact, maybe you should put the kids to work on it while you supervise with a cold one in hand. Kelty built the Como 6's walls and fly out of polyester for a bit of breathable comfort, and the floor out of nylon to keep it durable and strong for years. Kelty also taped the seams and added a PU coating to the fly and floor in order to resist water and abrasions so your family stays safe and dry. The Como 6 features one large door for the masses to get in and out quickly and easily, and a large vestibule can hold everyone's gear to prevent your sleeping space from becoming a cluttered mess. Mesh panels on the wall help everyone stay comfortable in summer, and noiseless zippers make sure your son doesn't wake you up during nighttime bathroom breaks. Internal storage pockets organize all your small items so everyone can find a headlamp when they need one.

Large Tents Checklist

Cabin vs. Large Dome Tent. What to choose? Cabin tents tend to be larger and usually have one or more "rooms." However, large dome tents are not as heavy or bulky, and usually are easier to setup. If you do NOT need the extra rooms, I'd suggest considering a large dome tent.
Waterproof? Any tent worth's it's name better be waterproof on the bottom AND have a waterproof rain-fly. Why? Sleep in it once during the rain and you won't need to ask.
Many Cabin Tents Are NOT Freestanding. Unlike large dome tents, many cabin tents require many stakes and lots of rope to erect. Keep this in mind when shoppng around for one. Most tents shown on this site, however, are freestanding.
How Tall? If you are going to get a big tent, it makes little sense to get one that is "squat." Thus, for big tents, it's always better to get a tent that is comfortable...and comfortable means one that is tall enough to stand fully erect in.
