Excellent Habitat on the Missouri River

The Missouri River has prime trout fishing downstream of Holter Lake. The banks of the river for much of its length are lined with agricultural fields and grass. As such, during mid to late summer, hoppers are an excellent fly to use when fishing the Missouri River. Winds blow the hoppers from the fields and deposit them into the river, providing the trout with a nice buffet.
