Bowman Lake is a stunningly beautiful lake, rivaling Lake McDonald in my opinion. However, it doesn't have the greatest of fishing. Still, it certainly makes for a scenic fishing spot. On this particular day, smoke from an Alaskan forest fire was obscuring the view a bit, which is why the photograph is a bit on the hazy side. The tall mountain in the picture is Numa Peak, which has an elevation of 9003 feet. By contrast, Bowman Lake has an elevation of only 4030 feet.
