This is Avalanche Lake, reached by a short and easy hike up the Avalanche Lake Trail in Glacier National Park. Avalanche Lake has so-so fishing, but the views from the lake are incredible. As an added bonus, not only is the hike to the lake very easy, it is also one of the earliest hiking trails to open up in Glacier National Park in the spring. The lake is also aptly named - during the spring, avalanches roar down the tall mountains that surround the lake, making for interesting sights and sounds.
