ski area, owing to its location on the east side of the continental
divide, can be a windy place. As such, the snow can really get
blown around. Combine that with lots of sunshine and you end up
with some thin cover at times on southern exposed slopes that also
catch the wind. This otherwise uninspiring photograph shows that
- numerous deep snow pockets seperated at times by some pretty
skimpy cover. Thus, when skiing in this type of terrain, keep a
close eye out ahead of you for rocks, "humps", and some
brown spots. |
