This picture shows the first dam that was made on the Missouri River in Great Falls. It's called the Black Eagle Falls dam. Due to the building of the dam, not much is left of the falls, although its still visible and with some imagination you can get a feeling of what Lewis and Clark must have gone through getting around the falls area. Great Falls is known as the "electric city" due to 5 dams on the Missouri River that provide a tremendous amount of electrical power. |
