Big Sky Ski Resort Pictures

Panoramic View of the "South Face" of Lone Peak

True, this photo is a bit on the boring and feature-less side. However, it does what it is designed to do - show the huge expanse of open terrain skiing that is found on the "South Face" of Lone Peak. The "South Face" has some absolutely wonderful skiing - although it can get a bit icy at times due to its southern exposure. If you like open terrain skiing on steep slopes - be sure to hit the "South Face" area during good snow conditions. For reference, the Lone Peak Summit lies about 2200 vertical feet above where this photograph was taken.
