| You get a great view from the top of Belmont Bowl at Great Divide Ski Area. This photo looks east. Helena is located in the valley you see below, although you can't see the city as it also lies a bit to the south. As you can see, snow cover was quite bare when these pictures were taken. This is due to having a low snow year in the 2003-2004 ski season, a VERY warm spring and because these pictures were taken during the last week in March. During a normal winter, Great Divide has a very good snow pack during the month of March. |
