Signal Point

View of the Milk River and Missouri River

This photo was taken from Signal Point, a small hill that overlooks both Fort Peck Lake and the nearby Missouri Rivers and Milk River. Signal Point became famous because it was climbed by Lewis & Clark on their expedition. They climbed the hill in order to get a better view of the countryside. Signal Point is also known as the "Milk River Overview", too. Signal Point is reached by a decent dirt road that is about 2 miles in length. The cut-off to the road is right near the eastern edge of the Spillway.
